A Music And Beer Lover’s Event

whitley

As Robbie Robertson said, kicking off the concerts that became Rock Of Ages, we’re going to try something that we’ve never done before.  In The Band’s case it was one of the most brilliant masterstrokes in live music.  We can’t live up to that.  But, similarly, we are going to combine some things that don’t often go together and see what happens.

Jonathan Spelt, of Ultra Fidelis, Peter Clemens, who knows how to live and knows his music, and Mike Romans, proprietor extraordinaire of Romans’ Pub will bring a Fancy Stereo System and some Well Curated Music into one of the 100 Best Places to Drink Beer in the country (no joke: Imbibe Magazine).

Please join us Tuesday, January 13th at 7:00 at Romans’ Pub, 3475 South Kinnickinnic Avenue for a few hours of great sounding music recordings, played back well, and some of the world’s greatest beer, served impeccably.  Let’s see how it goes!

Music Matters- An Audioquest and UltraFi Event

Audioquest Diamond USB

Who: The Trio from Audioquest

What: Unraveling the Mysteries of Computer Audio

Where: Ultra Fidelis, 7125 West North Avenue, Wauwatosa

When: Wednesday, November 13 2013, 7 PM (RSVP Required)

Why: The need to know, and enjoy!

In the first doubleheader in Ultra Fidelis history, Wednesday, November 13, the day after the Vandersteen event, we will host Steve Silberman, Rick Blair and Jim Scatena for an Ultra Fidelis/Audioquest evening dedicated to computer audio.

If there are two things we have observed about computer audio they are that:

•It is, without a doubt, the most sonically satisfying way to listen to digital music, be it high resolution or standard CD.
•It can be a bit daunting to dive into without a lifeline.

Join us as we demonstrate the potential for sonic wonder that lies untapped inside your computer, and provide you with the confidence to take the plunge! The official program will run from 7 to 9 PM, but the Audioquest folks will be here all day, and we will be open (on a Wednesday!) from 10 to 9, so if you cannot make the evening event, please feel free to stop in any time during the day.

Music will be played, knowledge will be imparted, questions will be answered, refreshments will be enjoyed, fun will be had, and a prize of not inconsiderable value will be awarded to some lucky participant. RSVP at your earliest convenience if you plan on attending the evening event. How can you not?

To RSVP, please email Jonathan.Spelt@UltraFi.com or call 414-221-0200.

An Evening With Richard Vandersteen

vandersteen sevenWho: Richard Vandersteen

What: The Model 7’s

Where: Ultra Fidelis, 7125 West North Avenue, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

When: Tuesday, November 12 2013, 7 PM (RSVP Required)

Why: Because we can!

Please join us for a very special evening with Richard Vandersteen and the Model 7 loudspeakers.  The Model 7 has turned the world on its ear with a total rethinking of cone and dome materials.

Knowing Richard, the evening will lean heavily analog so we will have the other-worldly Lyra Atlas mounted up on the SME ‘table for your listening pleasure.  But there will be plenty of opportunity to hear some great digital music as well.  Understanding, as you probably do, that this will be an evening not to be missed, please bear in mind that attendance may have to be limited and it is important that you RSVP at your earliest convenience to ensure admission.

To RSVP, please email Jonathan.Spelt@UltraFi.com or call 414-221-0200.
